Transitions

"Transitions" was inspired by the death of a close friend's wife. His sudden loss made me reflect on how his life would be forever altered and how this sad event would help define who he was. I became interested in the different stages and junctures in people's lives and how events and experiences shape the way we view the world.

I met and photographed many people for this exhibit. Some of their stories were sad, some were inspiring and some were humorous. All were very interesting. I hope that you enjoy viewing the images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I would like to dedicate these photos to my grandfather, Doug Boyce - husband, father, poet and friend.
